CAREER ORIENTATION
New Hope Animal Hospital actively participates in career orientation with the Rogers and Bentonville public school system. Seventh and eight grade students are offered a career orientation course and as part of the class requirements they spend a day at a willing business in the field they have an interest. Our hospital hosts six to eight students each semester. This is a great opportunity for the students to have a realistic view of the potential in veterinary hospitals. We enjoy our time with them and we all fondly remember when working with animals was our dream. It is now our reality and we love it!
SCHOOL VISITS
Dr. Nancy Belknap actively participates in classroom visits designed to educate our youth about the proper care of pets. Accompanied by one of her trained therapy dogs she enjoys the interaction and opportunity to share her pets and teach the value of their love. In addition Dr. Belknap actively participates in the Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program which is a one-on-one reading with a therapy dog for students.
TEACHER’S APPRECIATION BREAKFAST
Each year the Rogers Chamber of Commerce sponsors an appreciation breakfast for the area’s teachers. Area businesses can purchase a table to provide free gifts and information to the teachers. We support and appreciate all teachers and are proud to be included in this event.
