Relay for Life

In 2003 New Hope Animal Hospital and New Hope Boarding and Grooming formed a team for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. We called ourselves “Paws for a Cure!” The actual event was June 13th but long before that we began our fundraising by making and selling homemade dog and cat treats at our front desks. The response was great!

We also had pony rides at the annual Rubber Duckies Days at Lake Atalanta. Jackie Lais of Lais Photography offered her time and expertise to take professional pictures with the ponies for donations to the American Cancer Society.

On the night of the event we had a petting zoo on site. Our team offered the chance to see and pet a pony, goat, calf, pig, rabbit ,chicks, ducks and, of course, kittens and puppies! We had a relay of walkers around the track from 7 p.m. until 7 a. m. It was a lot of fun! And we were proud of ourselves for raising $2000 for the American Cancer Society!
